CHRISTMAS MORNING 2009
By tradition, Gweek Silver Band always venture out at 10am on Christmas morning to
play carols at various spots around the village. The regular band members are accompanied
by ex-members from all over the country, plus friends from other bands in the area.
2009 was memorable for being extremely cold and icy. Care was needed not to slip
base over apex and a wary eye had to be kept out for cars skidding towards us.
Naturally, the band ends up in the Gweek Inn - merely to warm themselves by the fire
and entertain the customers, of course.
The Gweek Silver Band Formation Ice Skating Team set off.
